CHESTER AREA, S.C.– At the very least a single person is dead after a college bus blew a tire on a South Carolina freeway and reversed, authorities claimed.
The crash occurred Thursday mid-day on Interstate 77 in Chester Area. The bus was bring trainees from Pine Ridge Intermediate school back from a school outing outside Charlotte, North Carolina, college authorities claimed.
There were 3 grownups and roughly 35 trainees on the bus, according to the college area, Lexington College Area 2, in a declaration to ABC Information’ Charlotte associate WSOC.
An agent for the Chester Area Constable’s Workplace claimed there were “several injuries” in the accident, yet that there is no verified number or details on the nature of the injuries currently. The targets were carried to several healthcare facilities.
One owner of the bus passed away, according to South Carolina Freeway Patrol Sgt. Tyler Tidwell, that did not give any kind of extra information on the casualty.
The accident was reported around 1:47 p.m., the constable’s workplace claimed.
The bus was taking a trip southbound on I-77 when it “took a trip off of the roadway to the right, struck a guard rail and reversed,” Tidwell claimed.
