Police sources stated that Dallas officers responded around 4:40 a.m. to a burglary report at a residence on Lennox Lane in Preston Hollow.
DALLAS — Authorities responded to an alleged break-in at Dallas Mavericks icon Dirk Nowitzki’s mansion early Monday morning, but officers later concluded it was a false alarm, police sources informed WFAA.
The reported break-in at Nowitzki’s property follows an incident where Mavericks star Luka Doncic’s home was burglarized on Friday, according to police sources. Just a day prior, around $40,000 worth of items were reportedly stolen from the vehicle of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, based on a police report obtained by WFAA.
Regarding the Nowitzki case, police sources mentioned that Dallas officers arrived at the scene around 4:40 a.m. following a burglary report at his Lennox Lane residence in Preston Hollow. The Nowitzki family was not present at the time, according to the report, but a groundskeeper on-site informed officers that a door handle leading to the home was damaged. Additionally, Nowitzki’s wife had received an alert from their alarm system regarding the same door, sources noted.
The alarm system notification occurred approximately an hour before the groundskeeper discovered the damaged door, as per police information.
Although it was initially uncertain whether anything had been stolen, police sources confirmed that officers eventually deemed the incident a false alarm triggered by the door.
Nowitzki’s residence, spanning about 12,000 square feet, is situated in the prestigious Preston Hollow area of Dallas, according to property records, and is not far from Doncic’s home.
In the Doncic theft, police said, the star player’s home was broken into through his back master bedroom. The thief rummaged through the bedroom and bathroom and got away with a necklace worth $4,000, three earrings worth $14,000 and four rings worth $5,000, police sources told WFAA.
A separate police report says Sarah Ramos arrived at a Pilates class Thursday morning, and that she “quickly rushed inside due to the rain.” “Due to the haste,” the report continues, she “forgot to lock her [vehicle] door.”
When she returned and entered her vehicle after the class, the report says, several pieces of property had been taken. At this time, the report says, she “was notified that her credit cards were being used at [another] location.”
The report detailed several pieces of property stolen that amount to close to $40,000 in estimated worth, including designer handbags and wallets from Chanel, YSL, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada, as well as computer software and cash.
The Dallas thefts follow a string of burglaries targeting high-profile athletes like Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Joe Burrow.
