AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott ordered Texas flags throughout the state to be decreased to half-staff beginning Thursday to recognize those that shed their lives as a result of the destructive floodings that influenced Texas over the July fourth vacation weekend break.
Texas Flags to be Lowered

” In wholehearted remembrance of those whose lives were unfortunately shed in the current floodings, I purchased Texas flags throughout the state to be decreased to half-staff,” claimed Guv Abbott. “Cecilia and I remain to wish their enjoyed ones as they regret this unbelievable loss and prompt all Texans to proceed wishing all influenced by this destruction. Texas stands unified in grieving and in our willpower to sustain those that aim to recover and recuperate. May God bring convenience to every family members impacted and toughness to the hundreds of initial -responders still servicing the ground.”
Flags must be gone back to full-staff at sunup on Monday, July 14, 2025.

What you can do:
People, companies, and various other political communities and entities are urged to fly their flags at half-staff for the exact same size of time as a mark of regard and remembrance.
On Sunday, Guv Abbott issued a proclamation proclaiming a Day of Petition throughout Texas. The Guv prompts everybody to remain to wish the lives shed, for those still missing out on, for the healing of these neighborhoods, and for the initial -responders.
